It’s a week since I stood in the Commons and paid tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II. The sense of loss is still strong for the many who admired and respected her across Newcastle. As I said in my tribute, she cared about things we Geordies cared about.
The late Queen stood in solidarity with the Commonwealth against apartheid South Africa and inspired love, respect and laughter across #NewcastleCentral.
As we approach her State Funeral, we remember her warmth and her service, to country and Commonwealth.
