The Prime Minister has called a general election for Thursday 4 July, and as of Thursday
30 May, Parliament has dissolved. That means that there are no MPs, and I am no longer
the MP for Newcastle upon Tyne Central.
During this period of dissolution, I will not be able to make representations on your
behalf. My hardworking constituency team will be able to assist only with the most
urgent cases. My caseworkers will continue to work hard on issues raised prior to the
dissolution of Parliament.
If I am successful in being elected as the new Member of Parliament for the Newcastle
upon Tyne Central and West constituency, I will be happy to pick up any further
casework. Please be advised that changes to constituency boundaries mean that some
areas within the former Newcastle upon Tyne Central constituency will now be part of a
new constituency.
In the meantime, your local councillors remain on hand to assist you with issues related
to local government. You can find your local councillor on the Newcastle City Council
website at this link: https://democracy.newcastle.gov.uk/mgFindMember.aspx
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
With warmest wishes,
Chi Onwurah, Labour Candidate for Newcastle upon Tyne Central and West Constituency
Promoted by David Gray on behalf of Chi Onwurah, both at Labour North, Kings Manor, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 6PA.
