There is NO legal requirement on #refugees to seek #asylum in the first safe country. People fleeing unspeakable violence, torture & loss may well want to be with relatives or in a country where they can speak the language, yet the Tories want to criminalise this.

The government wants to take money from 16,241 universal credit claimants in #NewcastleCentral. £20 a week can be what stands between a family and the foodbank. If there is money for PPE that didn’t exist, then there is money for people to survive a #pandemic & rebuild their lives.
