Great to visit Newcastle University’s Westgate Health Innovation Neighbourhood (on the old General Hospital site) to see their plans for a site with innovation, employment, people and sustainability at the heart. The Health Innovation Neighbourhood will include 1,200 new homes and at least one GP surgery, with local residents involved in planning.

Under this Labour Government, NHS waiting times have fallen for five months in a row. Labour is putting more money into our public services to reduce waiting times for GP appointments in Newcastle and the rest of the country. The Tories and Reform voted against it!
