Great to welcome more Geordies to Westminster! Brilliant visit from staff and students at Excelsior Academy this week. We had a lively Q&A where they asked me about everything from underage smoking to litter on our streets. I shared my 15-point plan for tackling rubbish!

Great to see Newcastle’s African diaspora football in Blakelaw

Who would have thought the Africa Cup of Nations would have a Blakelaw Edition? Great to see Newcastle’s African diaspora come together to play some fantastic football. A late injury meant the result was a draw between Ivory Coast and Eritrea – wishing the players a quick recovery.
Informative and enjoyable vist to Sutherland Court Care Home

Following Care Home Week it was great to discuss the longstanding service of carers, carers’ pay, and tour the facilities at Sutherland Court Care Home im Fenham. I enjoyed taking part in the residents’ weekly hymn group too!
