Cancer Research UK on Grainger Street in Newcastle

Inspiring to visit Cancer Research UK’s shop on Grainger Street in Newcastle. The stores sell over 2,500 items a week and took £310,000 last year raising £165,000 for cancer research! I saw the important work volunteers like Steffon do and I got a lesson in how to steam clothes for the shop floor.

Meeting up with the Turkish community in Newcastle

Great to speak about the importance of the Turkish community in Newcastle and MUSIAD (the Turkish Independent Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association).  The Networking Event was held at the Saray Turkish Restaurant. Turkish business has a large and valued presence in the region with 890+ in the North East employing over a thousand people.
