Chi announces winner of open data competition

Chi Onwurah MP for Newcastle Central today announces the winner of her open data competition.

Over the summer she launched a competition to find different ways to present the casework data which is published every month on her website.

Chi would like to congratulate Anthony Macey for his winning entry.  It provides an interactive month by month visualisation of the casework which is both useful and engaging.

Ms Onwurah said:

“ With this competition I’m hoping to show how it is possible to share data in a safe and

informative way and to demonstrate how open data should be the default approach for

those in the public and private sector.

“ Some very interesting entries were submitted which have shown innovative ways  to

  represent the data.

“ I would like to thank everyone who participated in the competition.
