Chi celebrates International Women’s Day by finding out What Women Want
Chi Onwurah MP for Newcastle Central will be taking part in events across the constituency and beyond to celebrate International Women’s Day, highlight women’s contribution to our culture and society and to find out what women want.
The events on Teesside, in Newcastle and London aim to highlight the challenges women face, ensure women’s voices are heard and inspire them to how overcome day to day issues.
Chi said:
“ The important thing is not just to listen to women today but to ensure that
effective ways are put in place to make sure women’s voices are heard.
“To mark the day this year I wanted to celebrate the voices of women
everywhere, but especially in Newcastle to listen to What Women Want
and hear the challenges women face in their daily lives.
