Chi’s Letter to the Royal Norwegian Honorary Consulate in Newcastle upon Tyne

Copy text of the letter sent on 25th July to Mr Nigel Alistair Westwood, Consul for the Royal Norwegian Honorary Consulate in Newcastle upon Tyne:

Dear Mr Westwood,

I would like to express my personal shock and sympathy at the weekend’s terrible events in Oslo and Utoeya.  Given the long history of links between Norway and Newcastle, I know my constituents would also want to send sympathy and support.  Nick Forbes, leader of Newcastle City Council, joins me in this.

I would also like to offer the resources of my office should they be able to be of any assistance at this time.

With best wishes,

Yours sincerely
Chi Onwurah
Labour MP for Newcastle upon Tyne Central

Such a tragedy but the people of Norway have once again shown themselves to be a peace loving nation.
Their response to this atrocity is the best tribute that can be paid to the memory of those who died.

    Dear Chi –

Thank you for taking the time to listen to the issues which Queens Court Residents Association has with Your Homes Newcastle on 15 March 2013.
Thank you too, for the three copy letters of correspondence which you have had with YHN – do you require any further details of our case at this stage?

    Best wishes

    James Herbert
    Chairman
    Queens Court Residents Association
